The head of the Communication and Extending Unite at the Department of Forestry has underscored that forest resources such as trees can serve as important mitigating factor in the reduction of climate change.

As part of the implementation of the Go-WAMER program, the regional coordination unit of Go-Wamer has begun five days sub-regional conference on governance, marine resource management policies and poverty reduction in the Ecoregion.

The principal climate change officer at the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change, Water Resources and Parks and Wildlife has lauded the Gambia’s step in mainstreaming climate change and its possible consequences into her development aspirations.

The training brought together journalists from the print; electronic and online media at a local hotel in Senegal was facilitated by Wetlands International and funded by MAVA Foundation.
